Hello sewing friends.. As promised in the previous post, here are the finished tank tops. I made the first one in denim colour (right side) to wear under my lace crop top , then I decided to make two more from the leftover fabrics to wear at home :) For the fabrics, I used denim jersey knit, yellow and grey striped jersey and strong blue cotton knit. I think I like more jersey knit fabric than the cotton knit, because it draped so nicely :) The pattern is self-drafted based/copied from my old rtw tank top and I will show you the process in the below post.

Hello, I made four jewelry pouches last Friday and I am so pleased with how they turned out. They look so adorable and besides, this was an easy and very relaxing project to make :)     And as promised in my last DIY post, I will show you step by step tutorial how to make it. But firstly, let's start from the material: For the main fabric, I used linen scraps from stash. And for the lining, I used printed rayon scrap. Four medium size wooden buttons, fabric cord that I used as button loop and threads. The picture below shows some of the material,    Pattern: The pattern is very simple, just like a rectangle shape 19 cm long x 9 cm width. All the measurements including 1 cm seam allowances. This measurement is for both main fabric and lining. And for the button loop, I cut the fabric cord 6 cm.   The final pouch will be in the square shape with approximate measurement 6.5 cm x 6.5 cm.   Sewing process...

Hello, I have finished my floral dress and I will be wearing this dress on a very special occasion next month :) So, I decided to just show you the dress in the dress form for now. Then I will post pictures of me wearing it on that day. Well, I started work on this dress in the end of May but I was stuck with the neckline. I didn't know exactly what I wanted the neckline to be and then after the dress hanging for so long in the dress form, I just decided to make the neckline exactly same as my previous dress. Problem solved! Pattern and materials: For the pattern, I used Burdastyle Vintage Modern Jamie Shift Dress size 34 with some modifications. Hi all, Today post is about hair accessories! I made these hair ties from the leftover fabrics that already sitting inside my stash for so long, I think some of them already there for almost 3 years. I took them out, washed and iron it. This is very easy, fast and fun small project to make and I'd love to share the step by step tutorials with all of you. I hope you like it:) Prepare the fabric, light weight cotton or silk. Cut rectangular shape, 30" x 6" (1/2" seam allowances included). Serge all the edges of the fabric using an overlock sewing machine. And cut elastic 7". With right side together, fold the fabric and pin it. Then stitch the fabric 1/2" seam allowance with the sewing machine. Turn it inside out.     Insert the safety pin into the elastic and pin it on the edge of the fabric as shown in the pictures. How to insert the bag strap on the body bag. I only inserted the bag strap on the outer bag. With the wrong side of the bag strap facing you, pin each of  them on the side of the bag flap. Stitch it with 1/2'' seam allowance. Here is the picture,

Hi! I felt great after long holidays on the place that far away from my home. And finally I recovered from jet lag :-) And of course the first thing I'd love to do is sewing and blogging. As promised on my last post, here is the tutorial "how to make a tote bag". Materials: home decor fabric - for outer bag, inner flap and bag straps  striped cotton fabric - for inner bag and pocket red colour cotton fabric - for outer flap fusible interfacing (the heavy one is better), big wooden button and same colour thread.

Here I would like to share how to make bias tape by Yourself without bias tape maker. Material needed: - Cotton fabric - Scissor - Iron Instructions: 1.           Cut Your fabric, for example: I want to make 1.5 cm bias tape. So I have to cut my fabric 3 cm. You can see the picture above. 2.              With wrong side facing, fold your fabric as the picture above. Hold Your fabric with the scissor and another one with Your finger. It is better for You to do it on the top of ironing board with the iron already prepared for the next step. 3.                 Take Your finger out of the fabric, carefully iron Your fabric as the picture above.
