Hi there, I went on a holiday to Singapore with my husband and son and had a fantastic time. We loved Singapore, it is such a great place to visit. The food was delicious, and also managed to visit fabric stores. I made two new dresses (of course) using stashed fabrics and notions. Today, I'll show you the square-neck dress and another dress in a separate post. I made three versions of the square-neck dress before, but this time I made it with puff sleeves. The pattern was self-drafted and the fabric was African printed cotton that was inside my stash for a while. The sewing process was fast, I fused the zipper line and facings with fusible interfacing before starting to sew. It made the job easier. I sew the zipper and the shoulder lines. Hi there, today's post is about a new dress I sewed last month. It's a midi-style dress with puff sleeves and a front tie. I made this dress to wear to a special dinner. For the pattern: I lengthened my selfdrafted v-neck dress into midi length. And for the fabric, I used a linen blend in green color. I bought the fabric in Bangkok during my summer holiday in August. The dress pattern had 6 pieces, front and back darts and I fused the facings with fusible interfacing. As usual, the sewing process was relaxing and it finished faster than I planned. The picture below shows the process of sewing the zipper, I pinned it before sewing it using the zipper foot. To make the puff sleeves, I gathered the sleeves before pinning and sewing them to the armhole.  After attaching the sleeves, I sewed the sleeve allowance 1 cm and the hem allowance 1.5 cm. Hello, today's update is about my puff-sleeved dress, which I specially made to wear at my husband's birthday dinner last month. The design is a simple round neck dress, knee length and puff sleeves. For the fabric, I used a silk-cotton blend and the fabric was a souvenir from our trip during Easter in Bangkok. I love the prints, so pretty. I used my self-drafted pattern and I was planning to fully line the dress but I gave up because I thought the fabric wasn't transparent and I didn't need to worry about the lining. The sewing process was enjoyable, I sewed the invisible zipper at the center back after sewing the darts. And then, sewed both front and back pieces at the shoulder line. Hi friends, hope you are well. I made another aqua blue top with a puff sleeve and gathered front style. My plan was to make a puff sleeve top with a button-down style but I changed my mind after I saw many cute gathered tops on Pinterest. I used my self-drafted jersey v-neck t-shirt pattern, modified the sleeves into puff sleeves, slashed the center front into four pieces, and connected again with a space of  2.5 cm, as shown in the picture below. Pattern detail: Sleeves (2 pieces), neckband (in the end I don't need), back top (on the fold), front top (2 pieces) and ties ( 45 cm wide x 4 cm / included seam allowance 1 cm). I used my overlocker machine to sew almost all the edges and my sewing machine to sew the ties, neckline, sleeves and hemline. Hi friends, happy weekend. I'm showing you my new make, a floral puff sleeve dress for my entry to  #magamsewalong  "Jamboree June" challenge on Instagram hosted by Sue, Suzy and Whendy. My plan was to make a special and feminine dress to wear for a dinner out with my family or a staycation in the local hotel later in the summer holiday. For the fabric, I used a floral rayon crepe from my stash and for the pattern, I used a Burdastyle dress with puff sleeves and a front gathering pattern from 03/2013 edition size 38. I didn't have enough fabric for the whole dress, so I made an adjustment to the pattern by reducing the size of the skirt. Here is the look of my pattern after I traced it, I reduced the sides of the skirt at the bottom 13 cm and then drew a new line to the upper skirt. After I double-check the sizing, I found out that the bodices were too long for me. So I reduced 3.5 cm at the waistline. I marked it and fo...
