Hello, Belated Merry Christmas to all friends! Hope you had a great Christmas celebration and happy holidays. I am back after a long silence with brand new hand knit pullover that I knitted for three and half months :) I took so long to finish because I only knit 10 rows per night while I am relaxing in front of the television :) Pattern: Drop-Shoulder Pullover - Designer Knitting magazine early winter 2015 size S. Needles: 3 and 4 mm circular needles. Yarn: eight skeins - 1720 m of "Blue Jeans'' indigo dye cotton and acrylic yarn in green colour, I never heard about this yarn until I visited Dongdaemun market in Seoul, South Korea. The most I like about this pullover is the elongated sleeves with thumb openings, as shown in the picture below. Hello my sewing friends, hope you are doing great. I have been away from the blog because busy with other stuff and my sewing mood was so low. But things are not so bad, in the middle of my lousy mood I finished my hand knit sweater and hat. This is my first ever knitted sweater and I am happy with how it turned out. It is a simple sweater with square armhole, 2x2 rib stitch for sleeves, neckline and hem band, the rest using stockinette stitch. For the pattern, I just took note of several patterns in ravelry and knit magazine then I make my own. I am not making a note of each step as I usually did in previous projects. My hand just knit and I did it :) For the sweater I used 7 balls of schachenmayr Bravo - acrylic in white spotty colour - 00002. Each ball is 50 grams and the needles is size 3.5 mm and 4 mm. Hello friends, I knitted a scarf for my dear son and so glad that I managed to take picture of him wearing it :) The scarf is self-pattern and the size is 50" length x 5'' width. I mentioned lately that I've been knitting and I agree that knitting is a great activity as well as sewing. And speaking about sewing, I am still in progress of pants making. I changed the pattern two times, two muslins, one unsuccessful pants and another pants waiting to finish. I will explain more in the next post. Well, for now let's talk about the knit scarf. I visited my local yarn shop in the beginning of January and brought home three types of yarns in different colours and brands. Then I decided to use my first choice - Schachenmayr Bravo in dark grey to make my son scarf. Hi, I have been very enthusiastic with knitting lately and so glad I managed to finish my first bobble hat right on time when the weather is getting cold :) I found a free pattern and tutorial from Mollie Makes - Bobble Hat  and it was easy to follow. The original hat is lovely, it comes with smaller width 2x2 ribbing and continue with stockinette stitch. As I am learning new stitches and eager to try, I added different type of stitches for the body that I found in Creative Knitting magazine autumn 2015. Materials: I used 150 yards of  Zarone - Filatura Di Crosa Italia - pure wool blend in shade 37.  Circular needle 7 mm - 40 cm Tapestry needle Scissor Knitting process started from cast on 56 sts and join the round, continue with 2x2 ribbing, k2-p2 until the stitches measure 2.5".
