Flax Pullover

I finally finished my Flax Pullover after one year of working on it. I'm glad and happy with the final result, the fit is good, loose, and comfy. I started this pullover on January 21 last year, I used acrylic and rayon blend yarn from the local shop. At first, I wasn't sure about the yarn because I didn't really like acrylic but the color is so pretty, so I bought the pack (8 balls of yarns). For the pattern, I used a free pattern from Tin Can Knits  link here , and my plan was to make the green pullover version the one that the model is wearing in the picture below.  I used size ML because I wanted a little loose and made the sleeves plain using stockinette stitch only. My progress was very slow, I was knitting a few rows in my free time especially at night after dinner or after I put my son to the bed.  The instructions were easy to follow and I was enjoying the progress, also I was lucky I found a Youtube channel that explain m...

White Shirt and Hand Knitted Vest

Hello friends, the weather is getting more fresh here in Macau and I'm glad I finished these two garments (shirt and vest) at the right time. I started to sew the white shirt last week, pattern modified from shirt dress - Fait main magazine May 2019 and I used cotton fabric that I bought from the local shop.  I started my hand knit vest in June. The pattern was self-drafted and the yarn was cotton in deep blue that I bought during our trip to Singapore two years ago. My plan was to wear the vest as it is with pants or a skirt for summer but as the winter is coming very soon, I decided to sew the white shirt to wear with it. About the shirt, this is my third version of the pattern, the first version  was in striped blue with a high low hem and  the second version  was in a gingham print with U-shape hemline.  For this white shirt, I used the same hemline as the second version, added two pockets, finished the sleeve placket with facing and ...

Hand-knitted Eyelet Sweater

I started this sweater in May last year, it was very slow progress with a lot of errors. I unraveled the sweater three times but in the end, I'm happy with the final result. I posted the journey of making it on my  Instagram  , so I'm not going to show the photos again in the blog. The original plan was to knit a simple eyelet sweater, square bodice and drop shoulder but in the end, I changed my mind and knit a seamless bottom-up sweater with decorative eyelets. For the yarn I used Linie 152, Paloma, in orchid color and pattern was my own. I used 2.5 mm and 3 mm circular needles.

2018 Make Nine Round Up

Happy New Year 2019 to all fellow sewists and followers. I've been away for a while, busy with a lot of good things but still sewing and knitting. Hope all of you had a lovely time as much as I did. And today, I decided to share my 2018 Make Nine round up. I didn't complete the nine garments that I was planning but glad I finished six garments and one in progress.

Hand Knitted Cardigan

I am participating some challenges in Instagram this year, one of them is  #2018makenine  hosted by  Rochelle New  and glad I finished my first garment that I worked since January. For the pattern, I decided to chose free pattern -  Estuary  v-neck cardigan size 36 that I found in Ravelry. The cardigan has a simple stockinette stitch for the bodice and sleeve, 2x2 rib for the sleeve and hem bands and 1x1 rib for front/neckline band. I skip the colour block style and use one colour only because I have enough amount of yarns in my stash and as promised I wouldn't buy new yarns this year except when I am on travel 😁
