Hello friends, I made another self-drafted dress with a ruffle hem last month. This dress is the second version of the pattern and I changed the round neck into a v-neck. You can see the first version here . For the fabric, I used cotton poplin that I bought recently in the local shop and the sewing notion (threads, fusible interfacing and invisible zipper) were from stash. After I modified the round neck into a v-neck, I omitted the vertical darts on the front side and made the dress a little flare at the bottom and then I cut the length far above the knee (25 cm), as shown below in the red mark. I made the neck facings and the rectangle shape for the ruffle hem (25 cm wide x 165 cm long). The sewing process was fast, I finished it in one morning after I cut the fabric and fusible interfacing for the neck facings and zipper line the day before.
