Velvet Ribbon

Hi everyone.. I finished my  MAGAM May outfit with the theme "Monotone". After searched my stash and double checked my wardrobe, I decided to make wearable garments that  suits hot summer weather. And here is my final outfit, high-waist skirt and sleeveless top, Pattern : BurdaStyle Ribbon Dress 03/2013   size 34. I hacked the dress pattern to separate pattern. I will explain more about my work in this outfit in the below post. Material: 1 yard of medium cotton poplin in cream color 1 yard of knit cotton in white color 1.5 yards of lace in cream color Fusible tape and invisible zipper for the skirt and thread Sewing Process: ----Sleeveless Top----- Firstly, I copied the original bodice patterns.     Hello... I made another basic wear last week. I used the leftover fabric from my infinity scarf  and I am happy that the sweatshirt matched so well with my self-drafted pencil skirt. Spring is finally here, the weather is still foggy with high humidity but anyway... I just hope that the sun will come out one day :) My family and I went to Fisherman's Wharf and Sands Macao for a walk yesterday and I used the opportunity to wear my outfit. After all, I like my new sweatshirt. The fabric is so soft, draped nicely and it doesn't make me sweat. Material: 1.5 yards of knit cotton in emerald blue thread Pattern : This is my third version of Moda Diana pattern no 75 -3P size 34/36 with variation. I added sleeve and hem bands. Hello... I made this outfit after finishing my second version of New Look 6225. The idea came up suddenly when I realized that I didn't make any plans for October MAGAM Challenge. As I only have a little time to finish it, I chose this outfit to work with. And luckily the outfit was completed before the end of October but to publish it here took me more time :) Materials: For the top - I used 1.5 yards of printed chiffon and black thread. For the skirt - I used 1.5 yards of linen in black color, fusible interfacing, invisible zipper and black thread. Hello everyone, Sorry for my late post! Here is my June  MAGAM outfit based on Burdastyle patterns.. T-shirt details, Simple style t-shirt, nothing fancy but perfect for everyday wear.   Pattern and modification: For the pattern, I used Burda t-shirt pattern 06/2008 - 113 size 34. You can check out my first version here.   As you all see that my first version was fine but I am not so happy with how the neckline turned out, so I decided to raise the front neckline 2 cm and I used smaller neckband 1 cm.   Materials: 1.5 yards of knit cotton in white color, stay tape for the shoulder lines, and white color thread.   For the sewing process, you all can see here in  my first version . But I omitted the contrast stitching and made the neckband smaller. front bag Hello everyone! Finally I have done my first project for 2013 Style The Stash Sew A long . I am really happy with my new drawstring bag but I am not that happy with my refashion t-shirt. Anyway, I'll be wearing the t-shirt on my everyday wear (home and garden when I play with my almost 3 years old son). Here are the details of the bag, I called floral bag, because it's made from floral fabric. It has two inner pockets, two side straps that I just sew together to make the bag stronger, the drawstring that ended with wooden beads and inserted bias tape on the upper and bottom bag to make the bag look nicer.
