Boucle Jacket And High Neck Top

Hi fellow sewists, I mentioned in my  Instagram post  two weeks ago that I finished the boucle jacket but I postponed my blog post because I wanted to make a new high neck top to wear with it as the model wearing in the picture below. Both garments are my entry to  #magamsewalong  October and November "Seasonal Stashbuster" hosted by  Sarah Liz . The boucle and brown colour silk satin lining fabrics were inside stash for ages and I bought the grey knit jersey last year.

V-neck Top With Tuck

Happy New Year 2016 to you all! Today, I'd love to share my finished first project for  MAGAM  January with theme "Jump Into January". You can see my plans here in my facebook page . As usual the pattern is from BurdaStyle and the fabric is from my stash. Here is my pattern after traced, I really like the look of it :) The sewing process started from sew the sleeves pieces together using my serger and continue the usual process. The only diff...

You can see the detail of my work on the pattern grading and adjustment on my previous post . This top is my second version of pattern no. 75 - 3P and I already cut another fabric for the third version. I love this pattern and this is one of my favorite top and I am planning to make more in the future, summer will be arriving soon and I need some short sleeve tops :) The sewing process of this top is quite fun. Firstly I need to removed the shoulder darts (remember that my first version was too big at the shoulder and I have to add darts to make it right). Then I transfer all the pattern pieces on new sheet of papers. After that I cut fabric plus matching the striped, pin and sew the top. The two tricky parts to sew this top was matching the striped and sew the neckline. My work on matching the striped was not so good...
