September Garments

Hello fellow sewists, I made one wearable muslin and three dresses based on  Burdastyle Bow Back Maxi dress 129 - 11/2013  size 36 last month. And I'm glad that I wore the three dresses during my trip to Bangkok in the beginning of this month. They were perfect to wear in hot weather because I used cotton fabrics and the style was little bit loose and cosy 💕

Lace Curtain Dress

Hello everyone, I made two new dresses before my holiday, but today I will only show you the first one. The second dress will be in the next post. We visited Seoul - South Korea and enjoyed the place very much, good foods, great shopping for skincare ( I do love their masks and serums) and I was so surprised that we found fabric and yarn markets during our visit to the area of Dongdaemun market. Well, the fabric market is huge with so many collection of Korean cotton, I bought five kinds and I think is more than enough to make nine garments. Also, I bought eight skeins yarns for my future sweater :) All the souvenir was posted in my Instagram :) Okay, enough said about the fabric market. Let's talk about my new dress :) The dress was made out of lace curtain fabric in green colour that I bought in the local market many months ago. I also made tank dress to wear underneath, used knit cotton in dark green. For the pattern, ...

Finished December Garment - Burdastyle Tunic Dress 11/2013

Hello and Welcome to 2014 dear friends!! Today post is about my (very late) finished December garment for MAGAM challenge . Well, after hours of beading finally I have done it and very happy with how the dress turned-out. The details of the dress: Pattern: I used Burdastyle Embellished tunic Dress 11/2013  size 34 with adjustment on the waist and the hips. I omitted the pockets and added 4 cm on the length of the dress. As I didn't have passementerie trim to sew around neck edge and front slit, I sew pearls on it. Materials: 2 yards of medium weight knit ponte in black color, fusible interfacing, black color of thread, hook and eye fastener, a lot of pearls in three different size ( 2.5 mm, 5 mm and 8 mm) and white nylon thread for beading. Sewing process: I traced the pattern and added seam allowance 1.5 cm for all edges and 4 cm for sleeve hem and dress hem. Then I made a muslin. After I tried my muslin, I saw the neckline too high for ...

Make A Garment A Month - December plan...

Hello lovely readers! I am so sorry for my absence, I am still here sewing some stuff but I haven't had time to update the blog post. So, today I'd love to share a quick update of my December plan for MAGAM challenge . I have chosen my pattern, fabric and nations. It will be a simple but pretty party dress for me to wear on Christmas dinner. For the pattern, I will use Burdastyle Embellished Tunic Dress 11/2013  size 34 with adjustments on the neckline, waist and hips. For the fabric, I will use 2 yards of med weight knit ponte in black color that more than three years stay inside my stash and as I don't have passementerie trim, I will sew some pearls on the front slit and neck edge.   Have a lovely and creative Monday to you all!
