Velvet Ribbon

Hi there, I finally finished a wool cardigan and happy with the final result. This cardigan is so comfy and easy to wear. I'm sure I will wear it a lot daily.  For the pattern, I used Burdastyle cardigan pattern 09/2019 size 38 but I changed the finishing with facing, skipped the belt and shortened the sleeve length. And for the fabric, I used a wool blend I bought in the local shop last year. I felt good I managed to use stashed fabric instead buying new one. The original pattern from Burdastyle looks lovely and the belt adds something more but my everyday life is so simple and I don't really think I need a belt.  Also, I decided to finish the cardigan with facing because my fabric was a bit thinner, I fear I will mess up if I follow the original finishing. As I like this pattern so much, I will look for thicker texture fabric next time and make exactly like the original pattern. I'm glad that I finally finished another project from last month, a silk blouse with a side knot Burdastyle pattern 12/2019 size 38. My plan was to make it for my entry to magamsewalong "December Dreaming" challenge on Instagram but life was so busy and I couldn't make it on time.  For the fabric, I used my dream fabric from stash, floral silk crepe de chine. I bought it in the local shop a while ago and I really love the print.  The sewing progress was difficult but I managed to finish it after many errors, basting and pinning (my pattern instruction was in the German language, no time to translate, just sew the blouse with my self-taught).  Firstly I was working on the front pieces and created them into a side knot. Hello friends, I finally finished my garment for #sewyourwradrobebasics June challenge hosted by @SeaOf Teal . The theme was ''Jersey'' and I was planning to make a wrap dress using the knit jersey fabric in purple from my stash. For me, a wrap dress is convenient and practical, I will just put the dress in, no zipper or button. I will wear this dress with flat shoes when doing errands and little high heels when going out for lunch/dinner.  But sadly, I didn't like the look of the dress on me. I think the problem was my fabric choice, too soft, too stretchy and lightweight. I will look for better fabric with medium-weight and less stretchy, so I can make this pattern again because it's a good pattern. Especially after my hard work to match the two patterns together, Burdastyle Wrap Dress 05/2019 size 38  and Fait Main Wrap Dress - May 2019 size 38. Hello,  I finally finished my new blazer after three weeks working on it. This blazer is my entry to #sewyourwardrobebasics September challenge hosted by Stefanie  @seaofteal Sorry I'm late 😑  Pattern: I used Budastyle 107-10/2019 size 19 with adjustments.  Fabrics: cotton blend with a little stretch in dark blue and silk satin in brown for the lining. Both fabrics  and notions (threads, buttons and fusible interfacing) were from stash. The original pattern has welt pocket with flap and short style blazer. As I wanted to save time, I changed into patch pocket and lengthened the hem 11 cm because I wanted a longer version. Also, as my fabric was cotton blend with a little stretch (pattern suggestion: knit fabric), I have to make adjustment on the pattern.
