Velvet Ribbon

Hello, I finished my second cowl! It was a very slow work but I am happy with how it turned out :) As I mentioned on  my last facebook post , I have to start the new cowl because my first one went wrong. I didn't throw the yarn but I removed the stitch and rolled again for other purpose. Well, before I explain more, here I am wearing it with my yellow sweatshirt . Once again only for the photos :) Finally the weather is getting colder but not yet cold enough to wear a very warm cowl. Materials: 4 balls yarns, 2 in white and 2 in light cream. Both are pure new wool Circular needle size 7 mm Tapestry needle Pattern: Seed Stitch Cowl with Stefanie Japel  Shown here on the video The cowl was using double stranded, Cast on 101 STS and join to work in the round. Hello... I made this doll last time and my son named her Daisy Jane. I was planning to make it for myself but my son want it. He had a boy doll   and he wanted Daisy Jane to be his doll friend, so I gave it to him :) Now, Daisy Jane is staying inside my son room together with his other dolls. How sweet.... Hello, I made five pumpkins for Autumn and Halloween decoration. All of them were in different sizes and I really love the way they turned out :) Materials: Orange, yellow and brown wool yarns from stash, G-hook 4 mm, tapestry needle ( I used normal needle because I don't remember where I put mine) and polyester filling Pattern: I found this the pattern from Petals and Picot,  Little Pumpkin Crochet Pattern . I made the first pumpkin exactly like the original pattern, then the other four were a little bit bigger in different sizes. Process: The first thing I did was the magic ring followed by every rounds as instruction said. Except when I made it bigger I just added more round in between. I cut the yarn 60" longer for the tail and much longer for the bigger pumpkin. I stuffed the pumpkin with polyester stuffing and did the last round. Fasten the hole with needle. Hello... Hope you all have a lovely weekend! I wanted to know how to knit since a long time but only last month I decided to buy knitting kits and learning how to knit. Also, I bought knitting magazine in August and read some techniques but I was confused. Then I went to YouTube to watch some lessons and so happy that I got it :) As I am a beginner knitter, I just want to try something simple and suitable for my level. So, I knit an infinity scarf. I didn't follow any pattern but just knit in circular needle and here is the result, Knitting Process: I did my first exercise Garter Stitch in the two balls of very cheap wool yarns that I bought in my local Japanese shop, followed easy video tutorial from  Studio Knit . Hello.. I made two shorts for my son, one in grey colour and another in wine colour. Both of them are using medium knit cotton fabrics, elastic waistline, no pockets and finished with decorative sticker in the right side of the bottom. They are very comfortable to wear and my son loved them :)  Pattern: The original pattern is a sweatpants pattern,  BurdaStyle 10/2013#142 size 110 . I copied the pattern pieces on the sheet of papers. I cut the shorts length until a little bit below the knee and omitted the pockets. I added 3 cm for outer and 1 cm for inner  shorts at the bottom, this method is good to avoid the tightness. After that I glued both front and back patterns together. I added 7 cm for the waistband and 2 cm for the hemline. A little note : the length of the grey colour shorts is 2 cm under my son knee and the length of the wine colour is 7 cm under his knee. Hi everyone.. Today post is the continuation of my weekly update "Diy Friday" . Sorry for not updating my diy's episode for so many weeks, I have been busy with a lot of good things :) My little boy needed some new shorts to wear on summer. All his shorts are getting small and tight at the waist. Well, I decided to search my stash and found leftover of knit cotton that is enough to make two shorts. Yay! Materials: knit cotton 3 cm wide elastic thread Pattern: Based on BurdaStyle Boy's Sweatpants 10/2013-124 size 110.
