front bag Hello everyone! Finally I have done my first project for 2013 Style The Stash Sew A long . I am really happy with my new drawstring bag but I am not that happy with my refashion t-shirt. Anyway, I'll be wearing the t-shirt on my everyday wear (home and garden when I play with my almost 3 years old son). Here are the details of the bag, I called floral bag, because it's made from floral fabric. It has two inner pockets, two side straps that I just sew together to make the bag stronger, the drawstring that ended with wooden beads and inserted bias tape on the upper and bottom bag to make the bag look nicer. How to insert the bag strap on the body bag. I only inserted the bag strap on the outer bag. With the wrong side of the bag strap facing you, pin each of  them on the side of the bag flap. Stitch it with 1/2'' seam allowance. Here is the picture,

Hi! I felt great after long holidays on the place that far away from my home. And finally I recovered from jet lag :-) And of course the first thing I'd love to do is sewing and blogging. As promised on my last post, here is the tutorial "how to make a tote bag". Materials: home decor fabric - for outer bag, inner flap and bag straps  striped cotton fabric - for inner bag and pocket red colour cotton fabric - for outer flap fusible interfacing (the heavy one is better), big wooden button and same colour thread.

I named this tote bag "CANDY" because she looks colourful and sweet:) I made several bag with several colours, I think I am crazy enough to made 4 tote bags in one week. I was busy and always be, taking care my sweet little baby. I only have time to sewing when my baby napping in the afternoon. I showed my first candy bag to my husband when he arrived home after work, and he was surprised that I could finish one bag during two hours. Woah...! Even myself was surprised! Here I made four candy bags already but I am going to make one more. I will give all of them for my cousins in Indonesia as holiday gift. I drew the tote bag pattern by myself. I worked for more less one week, including the transfering the pattern, cutting the fabric and sewing it. The size approximately 43 x 35 cm.
