Velvet Ribbon

Hello,  I finally finished my new blazer after three weeks working on it. This blazer is my entry to #sewyourwardrobebasics September challenge hosted by Stefanie  @seaofteal Sorry I'm late 😑  Pattern: I used Budastyle 107-10/2019 size 19 with adjustments.  Fabrics: cotton blend with a little stretch in dark blue and silk satin in brown for the lining. Both fabrics  and notions (threads, buttons and fusible interfacing) were from stash. The original pattern has welt pocket with flap and short style blazer. As I wanted to save time, I changed into patch pocket and lengthened the hem 11 cm because I wanted a longer version. Also, as my fabric was cotton blend with a little stretch (pattern suggestion: knit fabric), I have to make adjustment on the pattern. I wanted to sew this wrap style dress since the day I received the Burdastyle magazine from my cousin. So happy that I finally made it and wore it last week. For the fabric, I used printed knit cotton that I bought recently in the local shop.  This dress is part of my  #makenine2020 , a yearly self-challenge in Instagram and glad I managed to make six garments, missing three more to sew before the end of the year (culottes, long jacket and denim jacket). Pattern:  Burdastyle Jersey Dress 05/2019  size 38. I loved the pattern because of the lovely shoulder ties and the wrap style. But I decided to raise the neckline 1.5 cm and shorten the length at the hemline 3 cm, finished with 2.5 cm hem allowance sewed with a twin needle. I finished the denim pants just before the end of the month, so glad! I was planning to make these pants to wear with my Vivian Top . Both pants and top are using Ottobre patterns, I like the fit and the sizing suits my figure. Hello, I made a new top based on Ottobre sewing pattern magazine and this is the first garment of 2020. I chose this pattern because it looked easy to sew and I will wear this top more in my daily life. For the fabric, I used knit cotton in red that I bought at the end of December and I still have leftover to make another garment.
