DIY Square Neck Dress

Hi there, happy weekend 🌸🌸 I made a square neck dress to wear during my holiday last month and was happy with the result. The dress was easy to sew, and the fit was perfect for hot summer weather. The design was a simple short-sleeved dress with the addition of sweet a square neck. For the fabric, I used printed cotton that I bought in Bangkok in the last Easter holiday. And for the pattern, used my self-drafted. I made two dresses before using this pattern. The first dress was made in June last year using linen blend fabric,  link here . The second dress was made in July last year using printed cotton fabric,  link here . This time, I made the back neck in a round style and also reduced 1 cm to the square neck because the previous dresses were a bit bigger and made the square neck gaping. I worked on the neckline after I stitched the darts, and zipper and connected the pieces together. As usual, I fused the fusible interfacing on the facings before sewing them together. I p...

Hello, as promised here is my late update of Me-Made-May challenge for day 25-31. I was busy and didn't have time to update this blog but good thing I'm still sewing and knitting a little a day. Besides sewing and knitting, I'm baking more during this difficult time, I made a sourdough starter and enjoy baking with it.  Well, here are my outfits for MMMay'22 challenge day 25 -31, I realized that I wore my two sneakers almost all the time because they are comfy and perfect for a busy mom like me.
