I'm participating in Me-Made-May 2024 and my pledge is to wear me-made/refashioned outfits each day throughout May 2024. My goal is to continue wearing my makes, discovering a new style that fits me and also connecting with like-minded people. Hi there, welcome back and happy weekend 🌺 I finished a button-down top three days ago. I planned to make this for so long and glad I finally did it. I used Ottobre Design Maureen SS 2/2018 pattern size 40 and left-over cotton fabric from my previous garment. The buttons, threads and interfacing were from my stash, so I didn't spend any for this top. The processes were smooth until the collar, I didn't like it, too high for my liking. I removed it and tried again by lowering the neckline by 1.5 cm and making a new collar. I sewed the collar but I didn't like it. It looks weird to me. So, I removed it again and went without the collar. I had to remove the stitching at the back yoke and the front lining. And then pinned and sewed the lining piece around the neckline's right sides together. Hi there, I hope you are well. I finally finished my crochet swimsuit cover-up dress that I started at the beginning of February. I enjoyed the slow process and was happy with how it turned out. I used 9 skeins of off-white cotton yarn and a 3 mm crochet hook. For the pattern, I followed a YouTube tutorial from  Crochettoz . Hi there, today I'm making a test to share my Youtube video on this blog. It's about the making of my two dresses that I wore during the Easter holiday and a bit of our life during that week. 🔹️ The green batik dress. Fabric: I used an Indonesian batik from my stash. Pattern: self-drafted and I made a few dresses using this pattern before. This dress has sleeveless, no zipper, a loose and knee length.  🔹️ Ruffle hem gingham dress. Fabric: I used gingham cotton fabric from my stash. Pattern: self-drafted. This dress has v-neckline (front and back), no zipper, ruffle hem and a little bow at the front neckline. Hello, I made three dresses to wear on my trip to Bangkok during the Easter holiday and this dress is the first one I made. I will share another two in the next posts.  I started working on this dress two weeks before the trip and I'm glad I managed to finish it on time, as well as my other dresses.  This dress was fun and relaxing to sew because I made one before in a midi length, so this time I shortened the length until my knee and sewed it easily. For the fabric, I used a printed rayon from my stash and white cotton lining leftover from my previous make. For the pattern, I used my self-drafted pattern. At first, I didn't want to add the lining but I had to because the fabric was a bit transparent, the lining fabric wasn't enough and I connected the pieces to make the back skirt.
