DIY Make-Up Zipper Pouch

  I made an easy make-up zipper pouch using leftover fabrics and was happy with the result. The final size was 26 cm x 12 cm. It's lovely, fluffy, useful and big enough to store all my makeup and skincare products.  Materials for the pouch: - Main fabric, lining and polyester batting, 40 cm x 50 cm. - Fabric tags (2x), 9 cm x 10 cm. - Bias tape band, 6 cm wide. - Zipper The sewing process started with topstitching (quilt style) the main fabric and polyester batting together. After that, I sewed the zipper at the main fabric (both sides). I attached and sewed the lining to the main fabric, right sides together. And then, topstitched both sides of the zipper. And cut the excess zipper.  I sewed the tags and inserted them in both sides of the end of the zipper and sewed along the lines. I sewed the bias tape bands on both sides. Me Made May 2024 Recap, Day 1-14

I'm participating in Me-Made-May 2024 and my pledge is to wear me-made/refashioned outfits each day throughout May 2024. My goal is to continue wearing my makes, discovering a new style that fits me and also connecting with like-minded people.
Me-Made-May is a wardrobe challenge created by Zoe @sozoblog and this year is my 12th year of participating. Time flies so fast!

Okay, here is my recap from day 1-7,

Day 1: v-neck tiered dress, rayon fabric and self-drafted pattern.
Day 2: v-neck batik top and denim skirt, self-drafted patterns 
Day 3: gingham cotton dress, self-drafted pattern and my husband wore a button-down shirt, Burdastyle vintage modern pattern.
Day 4: floral midi dress, self-drafted pattern.
Day 5: oversized linen blouse, Burdastyle pattern 7/2017 and denim pants, Ottobre design pattern.
Day 6: square neck cotton dress, self-drafted pattern.
Day 7: pyjama set, self-drafted pattern. I didn't like jersey knit fabric but the print is so nice and I had to make it into garments.

The recap of Me-Made-May 2024 day 8-14,

Day 8: ruffle hem sleeveless dress, floral crepe fabric and self-drafted pattern.
Day 9: sleeveless cotton top, self-drafted pattern and linen culottes, Burdastyle 7/2018 pattern.
Day 10: short sleeve t-shit and denim pinafore, self-drafted patterns.
Day 11: button-down sleeveless cotton top, Ottobre design Maureen pattern and an a-line skirt, cotton blend fabric and self-drafted pattern.
Day 12: cottagecore style dress in printed rayon, self-drafted pattern.
Day 13: cotton dress with embroidery at the neckline, self-drafted pattern.
Day 14: button-down v-neck dress, Burdastyle pattern (modified) and this dress was tight, I fixed it by adding bands on both sides from the same fabric.
