Easy Tote Bags (Sewing Project For Beginners)

Image
Hi there, I made two tote bags using cute cat-printed home decor fabrics. These tote bags are easy and fast to make, a perfect sewing project for beginner sewists. The final size is approximately 34 cm long x 34 cm wide and 9 cm deep. The size is enough to carry books or shopping stuff. The process started with cutting the fabric,  - The tote bag's body: 42 cm long x 38 cm wide (on fold). - Handle: 62 cm long x 8 cm wide (2x). - Bias tape band 4 cm wide. Fold the fabric right sides together and sew both sides. And then, clip and sew the bias tape band to secure the fabric (to avoid fraying). Cut the corners, 3 cm x 3cm square, after the seam allowance. Sew the corner and secure it with bias tape band ( both sides). Here is the look after I sew the corners. I work on the handles by folding them in half and then clip the seam allowance 1 cm inside. Fold the seam allowance 1 cm inside and fold the fabr...

Crochet Pumpkins

Hello,
I made five pumpkins for Autumn and Halloween decoration. All of them were in different sizes and I really love the way they turned out :)

Materials:
Orange, yellow and brown wool yarns from stash, G-hook 4 mm, tapestry needle ( I used normal needle because I don't remember where I put mine) and polyester filling

Pattern:
I found this the pattern from Petals and Picot, Little Pumpkin Crochet Pattern. I made the first pumpkin exactly like the original pattern, then the other four were a little bit bigger in different sizes.

Process:
The first thing I did was the magic ring followed by every rounds as instruction said. Except when I made it bigger I just added more round in between.
I cut the yarn 60" longer for the tail and much longer for the bigger pumpkin.
I stuffed the pumpkin with polyester stuffing and did the last round. Fasten the hole with needle.
Then created the pumpkin shape using the needle by pull the tail in the center of pumpkin.

After the pumpkin done, I did the steam with brown yarn, longer and bigger than the original pattern. Also decrease the stitch (sc2tog).
Sew the steam onto the pumpkin using the needle. Done!

And here are the results :)

Also, I shared this post to Show Off Saturday

Have a lovely weekend to everyone!
