DIY Shirt Jacket (Shacket), Burdastyle Pattern

Hi there, Happy New Year and I wish you all the best in 2025 💖 Today's post is about the finished shirt jacket (shacket) I started working on in October last year. It was delayed because I was doing other things but well, I'm glad I finished it and look forward to wearing it daily. It's a simple and comfy shacket. It has low shoulders and is finished with a straight hemline. I used Burdastyle long jacket 9/2023 size 40 for the pattern and shortened the length.  For the fabric, I used cotton chino in beige from my stash. Also, the rest of the notions were from stash, yay! for not buying anything new 😍 The sewing process started in October last year. I did it in my free time, but unfortunately, I couldn't finish quickly. And then, other projects came and I put this shacket aside. A very talented sewist Marina Von Koenig of Frabjous Couture held a give away a month ago and I was very lucky to win it. The magazine arrived on my hand today after I picked up from the post office. Here is the magazine cover,

  1. This issue of Threads Magazine is againe full of very handy tips. Last year I have bought DVD with all issues of the magazine from the biginning till the end of 2012 - WOW! it is so worth its money!
