DIY Make-Up Zipper Pouch

Image
I made an easy make-up zipper pouch using leftover fabrics and was happy with the result. The final size was 26 cm x 12 cm. It's lovely, fluffy, useful and big enough to store all my makeup and skincare products.  Materials for the pouch: - Main fabric, lining and polyester batting, 40 cm x 50 cm. - Fabric tags (2x), 9 cm x 10 cm. - Bias tape band, 6 cm wide. - Zipper The sewing process started with topstitching (quilt style) the main fabric and polyester batting together. After that, I sewed the zipper at the main fabric (both sides). I attached and sewed the lining to the main fabric, right sides together. And then, topstitched both sides of the zipper. And cut the excess zipper.  I sewed the tags and inserted them in both sides of the end of the zipper and sewed along the lines. I sewed the bias tape bands on both sides. Ottobre Denim Pants

Image
I finished the denim pants just before the end of the month, so glad! I was planning to make these pants to wear with my Vivian Top . Both pants and top are using Ottobre patterns, I like the fit and the sizing suits my figure. Well, I can say that I love Ottobre pattern as much as I love Burdastyle šŸ˜ The outfit is my entry to three challenges on Instagram: #magamsewalong  hosted by  Sue  of Fadanista  ,   Helene  and  Suzy #sewyourwardrobebasics  hosted by  Stefanie - Seaofteal   and  #2020makenine

Ottobre Vivian Top

Image
Hello, I made a new top based on Ottobre sewing pattern magazine and this is the first garment of 2020. I chose this pattern because it looked easy to sew and I will wear this top more in my daily life. For the fabric, I used knit cotton in red that I bought at the end of December and I still have leftover to make another garment.

2019 Make Nine Round-Up

Image
Happy New Year everyone. I decided to write a blog post after a long silence, last year wasn't a good year for me for blogging. I was too busy with other things in life, lost my mojo on writing but I managed to sew some garments. Hope this year will be better and my mojo will be back and I can manage a good balance between sewing and blogging. I'd love to focus on sewing basic wears and replacing the old garments that don't fit me. Also, I'd love to knit some tops and sew some undies and active wears. I have too many plans on my head and I think I should write them down and will let you know later. For today, I'm sharing three last garments that I sewed and knitted for 2019 Make Nine challenge that I participated on Instagram.
