DIY Make-Up Zipper Pouch

I made an easy make-up zipper pouch using leftover fabrics and was happy with the result. The final size was 26 cm x 12 cm. It's lovely, fluffy, useful and big enough to store all my makeup and skincare products. Materials for the pouch: - Main fabric, lining and polyester batting, 40 cm x 50 cm. - Fabric tags (2x), 9 cm x 10 cm. - Bias tape band, 6 cm wide. - Zipper The sewing process started with topstitching (quilt style) the main fabric and polyester batting together. After that, I sewed the zipper at the main fabric (both sides). I attached and sewed the lining to the main fabric, right sides together. And then, topstitched both sides of the zipper. Love those colours and I can't wait to see how it turns out. Are you placing the print on the outside? Or centre panel?
ReplyDeleteHi Belinda! I love those colors too very much. I am placing the print fabric on the center panel :)
DeleteHappy sewing and wish you a lovely weekend!
Thanks, you too. I have 2 new dresses to put up on flickr next week. I was wondering, how long does fabric need to be in the stash for it to qualify as a stash bust? I've been thinking about this a lot lately because I rarely buy fabric for a special purpose. I just buy when I see fabric I like, so does that mean I'm always topping up my stash?
DeleteOhh... I can not wait to see your two new dresses :) I am sure they both are pretty :)
DeleteIn my opinion and some people agree with me, I will call the fabric stash when I buy the fabric without any special purpose and stay inside stash box minimum 3 months.
And you are not alone, I am trying to control my self from buying new fabrics but I can not. So, my stashes are growing and some of the fabrics are in the bottom line for more than three years. That's scary!
Hana, I love your fabrics.. This will be a really cute top.. Can't wait to see it..Happy sewing.
