Easy Tote Bags (Sewing Project For Beginners)

Image
Hi there, I made two tote bags using cute cat-printed home decor fabrics. These tote bags are easy and fast to make, a perfect sewing project for beginner sewists. The final size is approximately 34 cm long x 34 cm wide and 9 cm deep. The size is enough to carry books or shopping stuff. The process started with cutting the fabric,  - The tote bag's body: 42 cm long x 38 cm wide (on fold). - Handle: 62 cm long x 8 cm wide (2x). - Bias tape band 4 cm wide. Hand-knitted Eyelet Sweater

Image
I started this sweater in May last year, it was very slow progress with a lot of errors. I unraveled the sweater three times but in the end, I'm happy with the final result. I posted the journey of making it on my  Instagram  , so I'm not going to show the photos again in the blog. The original plan was to knit a simple eyelet sweater, square bodice and drop shoulder but in the end, I changed my mind and knit a seamless bottom-up sweater with decorative eyelets. For the yarn I used Linie 152, Paloma, in orchid color and pattern was my own. I used 2.5 mm and 3 mm circular needles.
