Lace Long Sleeve Flowy Blouse
I'm finally back to writing on this blog after being busy for two months, I still sew some small items and mend a few clothes but haven't sewn new clothes. Until two days before Valentine's arrived, I felt like I had to sew a new blouse to wear to dinner. The blouse had to be in the shade of pink, so I checked my stash and found 2 yards of lace fabric in fuchsia that I don't remember when I bought it. After I had the fabric, I started making the pattern (based on my previous self-drafted blouse pattern) I modified the pattern into a flowy blouse. The pattern was simple, a round neckline, gathered front and back yokes and gathered sleeves with elastic bands. Here is the pattern that I drafted, And after the pattern was done, I cut the fabric as usual. The sewing process was fun and turned out to be easier than I imagined. Thank you, dear. Have a nice weekend to you too :)
DeleteThey both look beautiful, Hana. I like the decoration that you added to the pink one. They both suit you so well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a lovely comment :)
DeleteWhat beautiful fabrics! I love what you have done with the pink overlay and I do like the high-low hem also. No doubt you will get a lot of wear out of such practical, yet pretty tops.
ReplyDeleteThank you Dawn, you are always so sweet :)
DeleteI do like both of your tops, Hana. They are just the sort of thing I should be sewing for our coming cold weather. They are very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi Kathy, thank you :) Great idea of sewing this easy top for coming winter. Trust me, they are really easy :)
DeleteI like both sweaters, too! :) They do look comfy but also very cute! :) Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you Katharina :) Love your latest bag too :)
DeleteBoth of these sweaters fit you so well!
ReplyDeleteThank you Dot :)
DeleteSo pretty Hana. Both look lovely - just right for transitional wear in the changing seasons. Some months are like that - not much good for getting much sewing done. Two simple tops was a good effort :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Sarah Liz :)
DeleteI like both of them too, but especially drawn to the pink one. You look so pretty in pink. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisa :)
DeleteI really like the pink one too, like Lisa, I think you look lovely in pink :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Carolyn :) Pink is my favourite colour.
DeleteOH the pink one is too cute Hana! That being said, the blue one has that cozy-up at home feeling...just what an oversize sweater should have.
ReplyDeleteI remember your first one, and I'm liking this pattern with the your own hi-lo hem more and more!
Thank you, Sue :):)
