Refashion A Scarf Into A Tunic

Image
Hi there, welcome back 🌸 I refashioned my old scarf into a cozy tunic and love how it turned out. I planned to do this many months ago and glad I finally did it.  This tunic can be worn as a layer or as it is. It is so comfy and warm, perfect for the cooler weather we are having now.  The material of my scarf is a wool blend in a lovely print. I got it from a friend 15 years ago. front dress This dress is my second project from Burdastyle Sewing Vintage Modern Book . I used master pattern  Elizabeth Gathered-Waist Dress for the dress bodice and instead of using straight gathered-skirt that the original pattern had, I used my self-drafted semi-pleated skirt pattern. The dress has square front and back neckline, side line zipper and finished the hem with hand sew. Materials: 2 yards of Japanese cotton voile, white cotton for lining, lightweight fusible interfacing, invisible zipper and same color thread. Pattern modifications: Front bodice: I altered the front neckline a little bit deeper, I also reduced the armhole a little bit smaller than the original pattern. Back bodice: I changed the back neckline to a square style, I also reduced the armhole a little bit smaller than the original pattern. Here are the drawing of pattern modifications for the bodice front and back with measurement, And h...
